Pearly Nautilus

Reaching up to 20cm (8in) in diameter, the Pearly or Chambered Nautilus lives in the Western Pacific Ocean eating small fish and crustaceans. It is closely related to squids and octopuses and is considered a living fossil, having remained in their current form for over 500 million years. The Nautilus can live more than 15 years, an unusually long time for a cephalopod.
