Ocean Sunfish

The peculiar Ocean sunfish is sometimes drifting just below the surface and can be observed even while snorkeling. Rare at the continental coasts, it is more common around the oceanic islands. It feed so n jelly fish, algae, brittle stars, larval eels and other fishes. The Latin word mola means millstone

Mediterranean Sea, Norway to South Africa and Oceanic Islands. Warm and temperate zones of all oceans.

Depth range: 0–360 m; often drifts just below the surface.
