Overview
Found only in the Mediterranean Sea, the Giant Mediterranean Pen Shell can reach up to 36cm (14in) and was used to make “golden fleece” from the basal threads that the Pen Shell produces to anchor itself into soft sand. Pen Shells can also produce valuable pearls.

Found only in the Mediterranean Sea.
